The story

The Aiguille d'Entrèves (3,600 m) is one of the most photogenic ascents in the Mont Blanc massif accessible via the Punta Helbronner cable car: a sharp rocky ridge with III-grade passages, exposed above the vast Brenva glacier and the remarkable east face of the Grandes Jorasses. The climb starts at Rifugio Torino and unfolds across snow, rock, and a few narrow ridge sections to straddle. The views are the ones that built the myth of Mont Blanc: the Dent du Géant, Mont Blanc du Tacul, the entire Italian-side amphitheatre. An excellent first ridge ascent in the group for climbers with alpine basics.
